Stelios Philanthropic Foundation donates £25,000 to Glass Door Homeless Charity COVID-19 appeal.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation are delighted to donate £25,000 to Glass Door Homeless charity Covid-19 appeal.  Glass Door are a local charity based near the Foundation’s headquarters in Thurloe Square and whom we have supported in the past with their annual Night Shelter.

The money donated has helped keep vital services open to homeless people in need, providing practical and emotional support, the provision of PPE, providing overnight project workers in two of the hotels where the majority of their clients are staying, working with Under One Sky food distribution programme with initial supplies and transport, provision of supermarket vouchers, top up credit phone, a befriending service and continuing to find individuals still sleeping rough access to temporary hotel accommodation.

Lucy Abraham CEO Glass Door said ‘A huge thank you once again for the generous donation which has made a real difference – many of the costs we have faced have been unexpected and unbudgeted for and we truly appreciate the support of the Foundation‘.
