After a two year break due to the COVID pandemic, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation in partnership with the Leonard Cheshire charity is happy to reveal the winners of its 14th Disabled Entrepreneur Awards in the UK:
1st prize £30k Joe Waggott www.metalpolishingsupplies.co.uk
2nd prize £20k Clive Collins www.catsfieldchristmastreefarm.com
3rd prize £10k Joseph Williams www.getaclu.io
They were picked from a strong field of 52 applications and take the total prize money awarded by the Foundation to £1.2m since 2007, when easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou first launched the awards. In April 2020 and December 2021, the Foundation donated £250k to Leonard Cheshire’s front line carers throughout the UK as a thank you for their incredible work during the COVID pandemic as it was then not possible to run the competition.
You are welcome to view the Awards ceremony tomorrow, Monday 13 June @ 13.00 (UK time) when we will hear from Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Founder of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, David Grayson CBE Chair of Trustees Leonard Cheshire, past winner Victoria Nelson Deaf4Deaf and this year’s three winners.
