As part of its ongoing mission to stay in touch with its scholars, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation last night hosted over fifty current and former students of the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in a hybrid Zoom event at its Kensington HQ. Students heard presentations from Sir Stelios Haji-IoannouThe London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) VP & Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Emma McCoy.

In addition there were introductions to this year’s student cohort Aya Msaouri-KhabbarIoannis Gkamaletsos and Konstantinos Stagakis who all expressed their thanks to Sir Stelios and the Foundation for the scholarships they had received, allowing them to study at the prestigious School. We were delighted to welcome Alumnus and former Stelios Scholar Manuel Stotz (himself an LSE Scholarship donor) who described what his original award meant to him and emphasised the importance of future graduates giving back in their own way as recognition of the help they had received. Marcin Mochnacki 2019 cohort Stelios Scholars also spoke about the impact of his Scholarship telling us he would not be sitting here today without Sir Stelios’ generosity which changed his life and his family’s life forever.
