In a changing, often overwhelming world for many of our youth, MSSC is a charity that helps young people become more resilient and confident. Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation are delighted to support a fleet of RS21 keelboats as well as provide funding for its On the Water outreach programme targeting hard to reach youth in deprived areas of London.
Sea Cadets is very different from school. There’s a lot of learning. But it’s done through activities – on the water and off the water – with experienced volunteers leading by example. It’s also different from home, a break from screens and being cooped up inside. The platform they offer is built on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy
This three year programme began in 2019 and due the pandemic its 2nd year will now take place in 2021 summer holidays.
We are delighted and proud to be working with the Sea Cadets them on this fantastic programme.
